Childcare Center on the finca
San Andrés is a village of about 2,000 people in the Los Santos coffee region. There is no childcare facility there for children under four.
Many day-laborer families bring their young children along to the coffee fields, where they spend hours exposed to heat, pesticides, and a physically demanding environment.
Refusing to hire mothers with small children wasn't the answer — it just cut off their income, and many ended up with employers who cared even less about protecting children.
Out of that, in 2022, came a clear goal: build a sustainable, safe childcare structure for young children in the village.
Creating a safe place where every child experiences God's love, receives a strong start in life, and is free to learn, play, and dream instead of working in the coffee fields.

A place to belong
We walk alongside young people from the village through discipleship, English courses, and camps, creating spaces where they can grow in community and in their faith.
