Hope. Community. Transformation.
About us
VISIONEERS Costa Rica is a Christian nonprofit organization committed to creating hope, opportunity, and sustainable transformation in local communities. We are part of the international VISIONEERS network and work closely with VISIONEERS gGmbH in Berlin to connect people, cultures, and opportunities across continents.
We believe that lasting transformation begins when people experience God's love in practical ways. We seek to serve communities with compassion, dignity, and commitment. Through our coffee farm, educational programs, and social initiatives, we create spaces where people can discover their God-given potential, develop new opportunities, and actively shape their future.

Our team

Andrés
Manager
Andrés, our director, is from Costa Rica and completed an 18-month volunteer service at VISIONEERS Berlin himself — which is why he speaks fluent German, English and Spanish. He loves being around people, and loves his wife Yoilin and their cats. He's passionate about traveling, learning new things and taking on new challenges.

Nicole
Social worker
Nicole is from San Andrés and has been a social worker helping with different projects, always keeping things in order around our spaces. She is a sweet person, always smiling, with an awesome character.

David
Coffee team
David has been part of the team since 2021, working the fields and serving as our go-to man for everything at the finca. He's originally from Nicaragua, and his wife and sons often join in to help as well.

Juan
Coffee team
Juan is from Nicaragua and serves on our coffee farm all year long. He loves to chat, is very funny, very skilled with his hands, and it's a blessing to have him on the team.

María Carmen
Coffee harvest team
María Carmen is originally from Nicaragua and one of our coffee-picking ladies, living and working on the finca from December to March. She's also a wonderful cook!

Luna
Finca guardian
Luna is a German Shepherd and the loyal soul of the finca. She greets every visitor and joins the team out in the coffee fields. She loves walking with people around the finca, especially down to the river and waterfall, where she pulls off the craziest stunts.
